Delete account
Delete your PlaceFinder account
PlaceFinder lets you delete your account and associated data. We deactivate the account right away and permanently delete it after 30 days. Sign back into the app before then and choose "Keep my account" to cancel.
How to delete in the app
- 1Open PlaceFinder
- 2Go to Settings
- 3Scroll to Danger Zone
- 4Tap Delete account
- 5Review what will be deleted
- 6Choose an optional reason
- 7Re-authenticate to confirm it is you
- 8Confirm the deletion
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile and avatar
- All saved places
- All collections
- All reviews and review photos
- All check-ins
- Trips you own (shared trip members keep their own copy)
- Your account credentials
Some data may be retained where required by law, as described in our Privacy Policy.
30-day window
Your account is deactivated immediately when you request deletion. The permanent deletion happens 30 days later. If you change your mind during those 30 days, sign back into the app and choose "Keep my account" — everything will be restored.
