About
Built in Phnom Penh for people who collect places.
PlaceFinder is an independent map-first app by Mr. Samnang Chhuon — made for travelers and locals who want one trustworthy place for discovery, saving, and shared trips.
Who is behind PlaceFinder
PlaceFinder is operated by Mr. Samnang Chhuon in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is a small, focused product: a free Android app on Google Play, with iOS planned next, and a marketing site at placefinder.io.
The company contact for privacy, support, and press is hello.placefinder@gmail.com. There is no separate corporate theatre page — the operator name and city are the same ones published in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
What we are trying to fix
People already save places — in Maps pins, screenshots, notes apps, and group chats. Those systems are terrible at staying organised, working offline, and surviving a trip with friends. PlaceFinder puts discovery, saving, collections, and trips on one map with rules that keep the list clean.
We ship features that exist today rather than a roadmap poster. The Features page and guides describe what is in the app now, including offline map downloads, shared collections, and trip invites.
Languages and regions
The app and this website support English, French, and Khmer. That mix reflects where PlaceFinder is built and who we expect to use it first — locals in Cambodia and travelers who switch languages without leaving the product.
If you have feedback about a neighbourhood, a translation, or a trip workflow that broke in the wild, email helps more than a form. We read hello.placefinder@gmail.com.
